Tip and tricks – how to get your PayPal Express Checkout and PayPal Payments Pro working

If you have Takeaway Website Pro and you are using a PayPal Express Checkout or PayPal Payments Pro cart, you will need to connect your Mr Site account with your PayPal account for your cart to work.

To do this you must enable something called the 'API access' within your PayPal and Mr Site accounts. Don't worry, it's not as hard as it sounds –just follow these simple steps!

If you are using PayPal's Express Checkout cart, you will need to enable the API access on each of your Mr Site shop pages and the API access within your PayPal account.

Log in to your Takeaway Website account and click on 'Extras', then 'Add features', followed by 'Add/Edit shop'.

Set the 'How many items you'd like to add' box to zero and select a specific shop page.

Once you are in your shop page, scroll all the way down to the bottom and look for the 'Click here to enable the express checkout feature'.

Tick the box to enable your API access. You will need to repeat these steps for each shop page within your website.

Now you need to enable your API access within your PayPal account. So, log into your PayPal account and click on the 'Profile' tab, then the "API Access" link.

Next, click on the "Grant API Permission" link and in the 'API Partner Username' enter:
paypal_api1.mrsite.co.uk

Then tick all four check boxes below and click the 'Submit' button. Finally click the 'Give Permission' button and you're done.

If you've upgraded your Express Checkout cart to a PayPal Payments Pro cart, in addition to the above steps you also need to enter your Username and Vendor ID into your Mr Site account.

Log into your Takeaway Website account and click on 'Extras', then 'Admin', followed by 'Payment Centre' and 'PayPal details'.

So that's it, you are now ready to take payments on your website!ADNFCR-2683-ID-19527950-ADNFCR
