British satellite broadcaster Sky is planning to link its customer's set-top boxes to the internet in a move that could lead to a new era of web connected TV in the UK.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the company plans to hook up the boxes in the last quarter of this year and they have already been trying out their service with Sky employees.
The web connected equipment is likely to lead to a wealth of new services including access to many well know websites through subscriber's televisions.
