In data released last week telecoms watchdog Ofcom, the UK has emerged as the nation which spends that spends nearly twice as much online as any other in Europe.
Meanwhile only Poland are said to buy things over the internet more frequently than British consumers.
And UK shoppers still buy twice as many things as the other countries on the continent excluding Poland.
Ofcom’s International Communications Market Report says the internet shoppers have typically made 19 purchases over HTML in the last six months - spending £1,031 each along the way.
