If you own a domain name with another provider and want to transfer it to Mr Site, we can do this for you - just pop us an email to support@mrsite.co.uk and we'll be happy to help.

Alternatively, you can do it yourself!

If you are planning on moving your domain from your current registrar from Mr Site, you will need to contact your current provider and ask them for some important information.

The top 10 domain registrars are:

1. UK2Net
2. Namesco
3. LCN
4. eNom
5. 1and1
6. Fasthosts
7. GoDaddy
8. 123 Reg
9. Easily
10. Network Solutions

Below you will find instructions about how to initiate your move to Mr Site and the information you need to obtain from your registrar - just scroll through to find the instructions for your specific provider. If your provider isn't in this list, please contact our support team at support@mrsite.co.uk or speak to a guru on Live Chat.

You need to find out the  'EPP code' or 'Auth code' from your provider,  and then email it (along with your domain name) to customerservices@mrsite.co.uk

UK2Net

For .uk domains

1. Go to www.uk2.net and click on 'Account Login' to login to the UK2 Dashboard

2. Once you are logged into the UK2 Dashboard, you will need to update the DNS Nameservers for the domain to the nameservers specified by Mr Site
•   Click on the 'Domains' section
•   Click on the specific domain
•   Click the 'Change Nameservers' link

Enter the following nameservers and submit the change
•   Ns0.hosthost.co.uk
•   Ns1.hosthost.co.uk

3. You are now ready to submit a transfer request:
•   Go to www.uk2.net/move_away/
•   Fill out the move away form until you reach the 'cyber travel out' order number

4. Once you have submitted the move-away request in step 3, please submit a support ticket to UK2Net Technical Support department quoting your domain name(s) and your cyber travel out order number(s). UK2 requires this confirmation from you before they can process your order(s).

Once UK2 has received your confirmation ticket, they will usually process your travel out order(s) within 2 working days. When this process has been fully completed the IPS Tag for your domain(s) will be changed to Mr Site, and we will now manage the domain(s).

For non .uk domains

1. Go to www.uk2.net and click on Account Login to login to the UK2 Dashboard

2. Once you are logged into the UK2 Dashboard, you will need to update the DNS nameserver settings for the domain to the nameservers specified by Mr Site.
•   Click on the 'Domains' section
•   Click on the specific domain
•   Click the 'Change nameservers' link
Enter the following nameservers and submit the change
•   Ns0.hosthost.co.uk
•   Ns1.hosthost.co.uk

3. Return to the 'Dashboard' home screen and click on the 'My Account' section. Please update the contact/owner details for the domain as necessary. You will then click the 'Registrar (WHOIS) details' link and you will again need to update the contact details for the relevant domain.

It is vital that you change the email field to an email address that is NOT related to the domain that is being transferred. Later on in the transfer process, an email showing your transfer 'AUTH code' or 'EPP code' will be sent to this email address by the registry organisation for your domain (Tucows or Joker), so this needs to be an email address not associated with the domain.

If you know the registry organization for your domain is Joker, then UK2 will need to change this email address for you. Please submit a ticket to their Technical Support department and use this text:

Domain -  <copy your domain here>
Please change the Administrative Contact Email Address for this domain on the Joker system to <copy the new email address here>

Please note: The administrative contact email address on WHOIS lookups will only change to show your new email address AFTER you have successfully submitted your UK2 move-away order.

4. You are now ready to submit a transfer request.
•   Go to www.uk2.net/move_away/
•   Fill out the move away form until you reach the “cyber travel out” Order Number.

5. Once you have submitted the move-away request in step 3, please submit a support ticket to the UK2 Technical Support department quoting your domain name(s) and your cyber travel out order number(s).  UK2 requires this confirmation from you before we can process your order(s).

Once UK2 has received your confirmation ticket, they will usually process your travel out order(s) within 2 working days. When this process has been fully completed the WHOIS 'Administrative Contact' details for your domain(s) will be changed to show the owner's name and email address. The Registry organization for your domain (not UK2) will then send a transfer confirmation email to the administrative contact for authorisation.

Typically an automated email message will be sent to the administrative contact address in 3 or 4 days. This email will show your domain transfer 'Auth code' or 'EPP code'. Once you have received this code by email, UK2 has no further involvement with the domain transfer process. You will then need to contact Mr Site to complete the transfer process. You will usually need to provide the transfer 'AUTH code' or 'EPP code' to us - often through a website link that they will provide to you through an email.

IMPORTANT:
TO PREVENT ANY FURTHER CHARGES FOR SERVICES RELATING TO THE DOMAIN YOU HAVE TRANSFERRED, YOU NEED TO SUBMIT A CANCELLATION TICKET:

Please browse to http://support.uk2.net/  and submit a ticket to the cancellations department.

In the ticket please state the following:
•   your domain name
•   your cyber travel order number
•   and the phrase 'Please CANCEL ALL SERVICES for this Domain'.
