Can I use a domain name that I already own with my Takeaway Website package?
You can use a domain name that you already own with your Takeaway Website package as long as we support it.
.com, .co.uk, .com.au, .net.au , .co.za, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .org.uk, .co.in, .me.uk
At the time of activation, you will be given an option to tick a box if you already own your domain name, along with simple instructions on how to use your name with your Mr Site website.
Are the any hidden costs or additional monthly fees?
There are no hidden costs or additional monthly feels. After the first year, you have the option to renew your Takeaway Website package if you want to. The current renewal fees AFTER THE FIRST YEAR are a month for Beginner, $6.30 a month for Standard, and $16.20 a month for Pro.
Your first year starts on activation of your Takeaway Website package, not on purchase. If you do not renew your Takeaway Website package after the first year, you may lose your domain name and website.
Your Takeaway Website package is an all-in-one solution, including your domain name, your hosting, your email, your online shop, email support from the Mr Site Team and your website etc.
Will my Takeaway Website package work on a PC and a Mac? (Windows / Apple)
Yes, your Takeaway Website package will work on a PC and a Mac. Mr Site recommends that you use IE7 if you are working on a PC, or Firefox 2 if you are working on a Mac.
How many websites can I build per Takeaway Website package?
You can build one website per Takeaway Website package. You can, however, purchase extra domain names and have up to six pointing to the same website. For example, if your main website is a .com (eg www.yourname.com), you could then purchase the same .co.uk or .com.au domain names (eg www.yourname.co.uk and www.yourname.com.au) and have these pointing to the main .com website. This means that when a customer visits these extra domain names, they will automatically be taken straight to the main .com website. These extra domain names are nice to have, as they are a kind of "trademark" in cyberspace which means your company may not be confused with another company trading under a similar domain name. It will also help customers find you if they have forgotten whether your website is a .com, .co.uk or .com.au website.
